I've noticed that I have to log in twice before the forums accept me. Has anybody else noticed this?

Hi James,

This has happened to me a couple of times as well. Clearing my cookies seemed to have fixed it (see http://tinyurl.com/9w44j), but sometimes losing all your cookies is a pain. I'm beginning to believe this is a phpBB bug.

Cheers,
Damon

OK, thanks. I'll let my son know. He's a phpBB guru. :-)

Possible Solution

Post by 2ffat »

I talked with my son who is a phpBB Support Team Leader. Here is his suggestion. . .
Go to the Admin control panel.
Go to General Admin.
Go to Configuration.
Go to Cookie Domain.
If it is blank, set it to .bcbjournal.com (note the leading dot), or bcbjournal.com. (note trailing dot).
If it is already set, empty it so it is blank and then the cookie path needs to be /forums/ , cookie name needs to be set to something unique if it already is not.

People might have to clear their cookies.

Thanks James (and also thanks to your son). I've made the changes as suggested. Let's hope that does the trick.

Thanks,
Damon
